Specifically, Village Resources primary focus is to provide eligible individuals, releasing from Oregon State Correctional Facilities, support and resources designed to mitigate the barriers to successful transition, as well as supporting pro-social thinking by modeling, and addressing criminal thinking behaviors.

Trained mentors are assigned to each release, and will be in contact with the inmate both prior to and after release with the goal of establishing a list of immediate needs at release including assistance in applying for SSI/SSD, supplying housing and employment contact resources, and encouraging affiliation with community support groups.
